What you need to do is pull your chair back, relax, take a deep breath and check out these few websites that redefine the word stupid. Before we begin I feel like it’s my responsibility to warn you that this experience may cause mental damage. Still here!? Good! Let us dive right in, then. Here is our list of 4 websites that show the decay of the society.
1. GIFhell.com
As I have previously stated you can view the internet as a gigantic brain in which, for instance Twitter is that segment of your mind that forms the most random ideas that seem to pop up only at the worst possible time. Imagine being at a funeral and pondering if the person lying in the closed coffin is naked or not. GIFhell.com is the segment that shows the most bizarre and weird images, and, no matter how hard you try, you just cannot shake them off. The site streams all the random GIFs that individuals from all around the world are tweeting, live.
As far as I could tell all the GIFs fit in a few categories. I’ll try my best to describe them.
First we have the strange, Asian, I think they might be pop star but can’t be sure because I don’t know any of them. They bear a striking resemblance to the characters in Final Fantasy.
Next on our list are the teen hotties, slightly lesbian looking and male super star category. Don’t worry, Justin Bieber as well as the boys (and I use the term loosely) from One Direction, are omnipresent.
Then, things really get interesting, when we arrive at the porn category. Because why would you have a GIF site without porn? Maybe this is intended for those hard working Americans that after a satisfying lunch return to their offices only for a more satisfying… miscellaneous activity in the bathroom. To be fair that would make their second half of the day much more productive.
The final category can’t even be described so I’ll just call it weird and leave it like that.
My final thought is that watching GIFhell.com is just like living in the mind of a 12 year old girl, where you meet the characters from Twilight, Justin Bieber or The Vampire Diaries, but then a talking vagina pops before your eyes and you wake up in the head of a 50 year old pedophile instead.
2. ThePirateCinema.com
Downloading a torrent implies getting the file from multiple sources. If you download a movie, for example, you connect to different users and you get your film in small bits. Until the download is complete all you have are chaotic bits that most players won’t even run. This is where ThePirateCinema.com comes into play. It was created as an art project that takes the world’s top 100 most downloaded film torrents and mashes them into a crazy live stream.
The only fun I had with this website was when I read the explanation from the creator of the website to why he did it: “The Pirate Cinema proposes a way of perceiving the film as a digital stream, or rather streams spread worldwide. In other words, The Pirate Cinema proposes to watch the films again through the logic of cables (which is unique to each connection and location).”
This chap wishes that you view films like a cable, and not like that time traveling dude Cable from Marvel’s X-Men, like a real everyday cable, or maybe I didn’t get it.
The feeling I got by viewing his stream was that I was watching 100 movie trailers all at the same time while running 150 mi/h with a head full of LSD. Two minutes later I had to either stop the stream, or punch my monitor with a pink elephant, wearing a colored T-shirt full of orange bubbles. Oh yeah, Morgan Freeman was there too.
3. NoHomophobes.com
This wonderful invention has only one purpose: to keep track of how many times four ‘homophobic” expressions (we won’t tell you which those expressions, admit that you know them, anyway) are used on Twitter and, of course, the website is streamed live. So if you want to know how many times people tweeted one of those expressions in the last 24 hours this is the site for you.
Only today one of the offensive words was used 9301 times all around the world, probably in a different context each time. Some were quotes, other ironic, a few jokes and some were written by homosexuals. Since the grand opening of NoHomophobes.com, back in 2012, the word dyke was used 3.860.394 times. 4. PornMD.com
PornMD.com is nothing more than a search program exclusively for websites held by PornHub.com. What makes this site unique is the ability to see a live stream with all the searches from men and women worldwide.
