– 1/3 Cup Cream of Tartar
– 1 Cup Baking Soda
– 1 Cup SLSA (Sodium lauryl sulfoacetate)
– 1/3 Cup – 1/2 cup Glycerin
– 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
– 3 tablespoons Ground Ginger/ Ginger Powder (warms you up after a long cold winter day)
– 2 tablespoons Lemon juice (gives some sharpness to the scent)
– 10 drops or less Food Coloring – for orange color use combination of red and yellow. Plus ginger powder adds some brownish color as well.
– Sugar sprinkles
– Cinnamon sticks (I got a pack of 10 long sticks at a dollar store – quality is good enough for a non-edible project)

8. Dip dyed candles
This is a very interesting Christmas gift inspired by Martha Stewart. Who knew that you can use plain crayons to make such interesting things? Use a double boiler to melt crayons with other goodies and simply dip dye your candles into it. Simple and great!
