For a while there I was preparing a complex article where I used as an input the advice of professional photographs willing to share with us their experience. In the end, after the great moments of stress, tension, enthusiasm and enjoyment have passed, the pictures are a great reminder. This advice is especially used for brides, but one can make use of it also if he or she is attending a ceremony such as the college prom or an anniversary. If one is relaxed, friendly and shows a big smile for sure there will be some unforgettable pictures from your weeding! I hope you will enjoy the article and put the advice to practice when you will have the opportunity.
1. Selecting the Place for Dressing the Bride
First of all, the place where the bride will get dressed should be as simple as possible. For some superb pictures, it is preferred that in the room is present only close family and not a great deal of relatives, as the bride might get nervous and the preparations should not be done in a hurry, as under the all the emotions are expressed on the brides’ face and this is one of the cases where less is better.
2 At the Church
At the Church it is a good idea that everyone should know the order to enter. In most cases, the invitees enter first, sit and wait patiently for the arrival of the bride maids and of the groomsmen. Last but the least, the groom and the bride enter. It is advised that the invitees live along with the bride and the groom these moments and that they do not start to take photos, so that they do not interfere with the professional photographers.
3. At the Restaurant
The most important moment at the restaurant is the opening of the event with the dance. This moment can be easily ruined by waiters that should be informed in notice that the opening dance is going to follow, so that they do not appear in the pictures caring plates on the dance floor. Moreover, before the wedding there should be a photo shooting, the so called ‘engagement shooting’. Here the bride and the groom can get familiar with having professional photographers shooting them so that in the night of the wedding they will act natural. It is strongly advised that in the engagement shooting only the godparents attends, so there is not too much pressure put on the bride and groom. Otherwise, you might face problems such as the aunt who is said that she was not in the picture, the bridesmaid who is in all the pictures and others.
4. Choosing the Wedding Photographer
When selecting the Photograph for your wedding, do not rely only on recommendations, but also request the entire portfolio so you have the vision and the abilities of the photographer. The payment is also important, but should not the decisive factor. The locations for the photos are selected based on their proximity to the church and to the restaurant. A good photograph will choose the angles for the pictures and show the most natural and suitable positions for you and your husband. Listen to him and do not rush!
5. Meet with the Photographer face to face
Once you have studied the portfolios and discussed with other brides, make a short list with the photographers you would like for your wedding. It is mandatory that you make time and meet with them face to face, or at least to hear them over phone or see via webcam. This will give you an understanding if you connect with that person or not, as for sure you would like to have the wedding covered by someone you with whom you connect.
6. Don’t Experiment
Do not try photo experiments on your wedding day! If the photographer thinks that it is not possible from a practical or technical point of view, then most probably it is not. If you are out of idea for the photo shooting, have in mind that a easy and natural look are the key to decent photographs. Try to be natural, to wear comfortable shoes and to stand in normal way.
7. The bride’s make up
Although it is worth mentioning that a very good makeup for the bride will make all the money, make sure that you do not forget about the groom. In general, due to stress, you will miss out the night sleep for a day or two. The dark circles around one’s eye are easy spotted in a picture. Make sure that you wear plenty of deodorant, so as not to leave sweat to ruin your imagine!
8. Try to relax
The wedding day is one of the most stressful and most probably the most spectacular of your entire life. It is normal to feel stress, but try as much as possible to just enjoy the moment, as you do not want to have a petrified look in your weeding pictures. Try to smile as much as possible and work with the camera, as the photograph is both your accomplice and your help.
9. Other Important Aspects
The groom and the bride should try to relax and enjoy the moment, because no matter what they have forgot to do, it will not be resolved on that day. It is important that they do have on them phones, because they will ring and it will get annoying. The bride maids or the wedding planner can attend to answering the phones for them.
10. Last, but not least
My last advice is: It is your wedding, enjoy it, be happy and smile as these can come only from inside you!
