10. You’re Not Being a Team Player
You must have been a team player at one point during your job, because otherwise they would have fired you. But now, you simply don’t feel like mingling with your co-workers. You don’t even feel like staying in close proximity to them. If and when you feel this is happening, it’s sign you should search for another job.
9. You’re Unconsciously Packing Up Your Desk
This one happened to me a while back. I was quite unhappy with my job and I started packing up my desk long before I knew I wanted to quit. I just didn’t want to see all those personal things around my office anymore and I would take one or two items every day, back at home with me. It later occurred to me what my brain was telling me I should do!
8. You Don’t Care Anymore
When you don’t care anymore about your job, about the work that you do in your office, then it’s high time you quit your job. If you see no point in you staying at the office, give it up and start searching for something that will light a fire in your heart! Life’s too short to waste on things that bore you!
7. You and Your Boss Don’t See Eye to Eye
Your boss hired you because they saw in you a person who had a similar view with that of the company. They hired you because they liked the way you approached things and because they thought you could help the company. When your boss no longer sees that in you, then maybe something has changed. Do you know what it is?
6. You’ve Decreased Your Productivity
Sometimes people do things that they’re not aware of. Like the situation at number 9, decreasing one’s productivity can happen without you even knowing about it. It could be a sign your body’s giving you, that it no longer wants to do the work it’s doing and sometimes you should really listen to your body!
5. There’s No Foreseeable Raise
Signs it’s time to quit your job include not seeing any raise in your salary in the future. It’s not only a sign, but also a very good reason to quit your job. The company’s probably not doing very well, so why would you want to waste any more of your precious time with a place that can’t afford you?
4. You’re Getting Beer at Lunch
Getting beer at lunch will tell you a lot of things about yourself. First of all, it will tell you that you like your booze. Secondly, it will tell you that you don’t care enough anymore about coming back from lunch smelling of alcohol. Thirdly, it will tell you that if you need booze to get through the day, then you probably need to quit your job.
3. You Get Job Envy
Job envy is something that we all feel. But when you’re no longer satisfied with your workplace, you’re going to feel it more often. Like all the time. If you’re craving another person’s job, then maybe you should look into that, rather than focusing on your own job. The grass may be greener on the other side because it’s dried up on your side.
2. Going to Work Makes You Cry
When you get so frustrated about going to work each morning that you’re on the verge of crying, then, for the love of God, quit your job and do something you’re passionate about. Staying somewhere that makes you very unhappy is not only bad for your brain, but also for your body as stress is one of the biggest illness triggers in the modern world.
1. You Hate Your Job
It’s no longer about subtle hints, you’ve admitted it to yourself that you hate your job. You know that you hate it and you even told a couple of your colleagues that you feel that way. That’s it, start searching for something else and give in your two weeks’ notice! Good luck!
