The PC gaming market is quite dynamic and every year there are sequels to famous titles released in the past or new games that bring a fresh air in the industry. Even though in recent years games developed for consoles like Sony PlayStation and Xbox have become increasingly important, computer games remain popular. FPS games (First Person Shooter) enjoys a great popularity among users, as well as racing games that attract especially young people, especially as these are becoming increasingly realistic. We are not missing even traditional strategy games, which remain part of a faithful audience.
Therefore, it is not easy to make a list of the best games of the year: on the one hand, some titles you may not like, and on the other hand it is possible not to find in the list one of your favorite games. So, here are, in our opinion, the best PC games that will appear in 2014:
1. Destiny – appears on September 9th, 2014
One of the most anticipated games of the year is undoubtedly Destiny. The reason is that the production mainly carried out by Bungie promises to release a new game genre in which those who play singleplayer campaigns are present in the same environment as multiplayers. The idea behind this concept is relatively simple: mankind is under attack by all kinds of aliens in the solar system and must mobilize to save the planet from destruction.
2. Thief – appears on February 28th, 2014
Another game that promises to bring something new to the market is Thief. Based on the classic game Thief: The Dark Project, the new title is a remake in which, at least theoretically, users should have the ability to meet tasks through independent actions of your choice.
3. Project Cars – appears this autumn
Project Cars is a car simulator which SlightyMad Studios manufacturers promise it will be very realistic and will have an amazing quality graphics. After seeing the official trailer we tend to give them justice, because we were impressed. An additional argument is that the game is made by the same studio that produced the two games Need for Speed from the Shift series.
4. Wolfenstein: The New Order – appears in 2014
Wolfenstein: The New Order is a game that awakens memories among experienced gamers, since it is based on the famous game Wolfenstein that opened the FPS genre. The main character in this remake is BJ Blazkowicz and his mission is to defeat the Nazi empire. Unfortunately, the game is only available in singleplayer version, so if you want to play with friends, you will have to choose another title.
5. Mad Max – appears in 2014
Who has not heard of the Mad Max series of films? It looks like it is also making its way through the game and computer screens with the same name, which promises to attract customers both through quality graphics and the variety of the work environment: there will be more ways to complete missions and the latter will include fighting machines.
6. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – appears on March 25th, 2014
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls is not a game in itself, but an expansion pack for Diablo III, but it is worth mentioning in this list because of the interesting novelties promised: there is a new class of characters, Crusader, and a fifth part of the story. We tend to believe that such an update is more than welcome after some criticism received by Diablo III.
7. Watch Dogs – appears this spring
Watch Dogs is a long awaited game that has suffered multiple delays, but we hope that this time it will really be released. This title from manufacturer Ubisoft promises to be all that, as you get to be a hacker that can control (almost) everything from traffic lights to the intersection and street cars. It remains to be seen how the game will be exciting for prolonged use.
8. Titanfall – appears on March 13th, 2014
Gamers who love supernatural characters have reason to rejoice, because Titanfall announces something for their taste: you get inside of titans, robots similar to humans, but significantly larger and with different special abilities like going through walls. And if you have not yet figured it out, we are talking about a multiplayer shooter.
9. The Crew – appears this summer
The Crew is a special car game, where the only map available is that of the United States. Basically, you meet with your friends in multiplayer, you have all the highways and roads in the United States to reach the finish line on the way that you think is shorter. Basically, Ivory Tower aims to provide a fully open work environment that eliminates the traditional limitations of these types of games.
10. Tom Clancy’s The Division
Based on the famous series of books by Tom Clancy, The Divison is a game that benefits from the new Snowdrop graphics engine and groups three distinct genres: RPG, shooter and online. It remains to be seen how this concept will be appreciated by users, but at least the first trailer is promising.
