Ah, first world problems! The problems that almost all the modern world faces on a daily basis. The problems that aren’t really problems, but they manage to get us down and get us complaining and weeping. If you’ve ever caught yourself being a weepy privileged person, crying over texting someone you shouldn’t have because you were tipsy or not eating a bowl of food because there’s too much parsley in it and you don’t like parsley, then we suggest you read our list of first world problems and see if it hits any soft spots. Go on, enjoy your first world problems!
15. Precious Combed Hair
It’s happened to everyone and it’s a drag, we know. What you could do the next time that happens is to put on a shirt that will inevitably mess up your hair and then comb your hair again. It’s so crazy that it might work!
14. The Indecisive Blanket
You’re in bed and you’re not going to move. But one blanket makes you too warm and no blanket makes you too cold. Cruel world, what shall I do? Get your lazy ass out of bed and find something suitable, you first world complainer!
13. The Toothbrush Ordeal
Do it old school, old chap! We know it sounds a bit out there, but moving your arms when brushing your teeth comes natural to us. It’s in our genes!
12. The Princess and The Pillow
Similar to the blanket situation, the pillow condition is even more unpleasant because there really is no quick solution to it. You just have to buy a new pillow the next day and until then, live with what you have!
11. Starving Children in Africa
I don’t think there’s a human being in a first world country who hasn’t been told this as a child. I know that when I was little I had to finish everything off my plate because of those starving children. I vow not to do this to my child.
10. Autocorrect Troubles
Oh, the horror! Autocorrect has proven to be an undying source of humor, but when this happens, it’s no longer funny, but downright sad. What are you going to do now?
9. Too Much Vacationing
Rich people’s problems include, among too much vacationing and not enough time to hang out with friends also include buying a house in Cabo and not going anywhere else but there. I’m holding back my tears as I’m typing.
8. What Am I Going to Do Now?
It’s happened to probably everyone who’s worked in an office and it happened to me. For a moment I was genuinely confused about what to do with my second lunch. Then I realized how silly that sounded and I gave it to some homeless man. (I really did!)
7. Make Food? Surely You Jest!
Being lazy and hungry is never a good combination, but if you would rather starve (and not to death) then combine some of the ingredients in your kitchen to make a nutrition mean for you, then you probably deserve to starve.
6. Buy Stuff!
It’s Schrödinger’s cat all over again. You can’t buy things and not spend any money, can you? Get your act together and have a list of priorities and stop complaining!
5. iPad Purse
One of the most common first world problems: devices not fitting in our bags, purses and pockets. You making a big fuss about it, makes you pain in the back pocket!
4. The Darkness is in the Fridge
When there’s too much food in the fridge that it covers up the light and you complain about it, then you know that you’ve just become a first world complainer and you should keep quite about first world problem.
3. Clean Water… Eh!
You feel like drinking and you know water’s not going to satisfy you. Should you feel bad that you have a clean supply of fresh water? No. But have you ever thought that you should?
2. Facebook Stalking
How are you going to find out things about the person you like, if not through Facebook stalking? It’s not like you can call them up and invite them out and then talk to them like an adult person.
1. Texting at Night
With the risk of sounding like a first world complainer, it really sucks when that happens. It’s happened to me a couple of times and I was too tired to text, but I liked her too much to say that we’d talk some other time. What to do, what to do?
