Kicking a bad habit can be very hard, but even harder than that is recognizing a bad habit, admitting you have one and wanting to get rid of it. Often enough, bad habits bring us pleasure and pleasure is something most people want more of. Before you start kicking any habit, you should first want to kick it. You have to want to get rid of it and live the rest of your life without it. Ask yourself not if you can to do it, but if you want to do it. Once you tell yourself that you want to do it, your brain will automatically start searching for ways to achieve that goal.

Besides, those 30 minutes can be condensed in 2 minutes, anyhow.
One of the best ways to kick a bad habit is to read about your bad habit and know as much as possible about it. Read about it online journals or whatever you can get your hands on. The more you know about it, the easier it is going to be for you to kick it. You don’t have to invest too much time in this to work!
What better support, than friends? Talk to your best friends about your bad habit and your desire to kick it. They know you the best and they will surely have a few wise words for you. Trust them and follow their advice, but also rely on yourself a lot. If you don’t have friends, then you should definitely try our number 2 tip.
Taking up a sport is a great way of kicking a bad habit. You will meet new people, burn energy, get fit, feel great and get your muscles moving. For example, tennis is a great way to kick a bad habit. You’ll feel so pleasantly tired at the end of the day, that you won’t feel like lighting up a cigarette or eating that third slice of pizza.
Talking to people who are going through the same thing you is immensely helpful. Rationalize your bad habit. Ask yourself where it’s coming from and how you can get rid of it. Out of all the people in the world you are the one who knows best how it came about and how to get rid of it. Don’t be afraid to ask yourself questions and to really dig deep to find a way out.
