Indie rock love songs will always put you in a good mood, won’t they? City and Colour is the recording alias for Canadian artist Dallas Green.
12. Certain Circles – Barton Carroll

11. I Wanted You To Feel The Same – The Radio Dept.
When it comes to sad indie love longs, this one takes the cake. If you need convincing, here are some lyrics: It breaks my heart to say that when I was in pain, I wanted you to feel the same. But nothing gets you really, it’s a shame. I can’t believe you didn’t feel a thing. The perfect break-up song, isn’t it?
10. The Luckiest – Ben Folds
Ben’s voice is absolutely lovely and this song is one of the best indie songs to come out of the States. It’s sad and powerful and it will make you weep and smile. It will make you feel the things one needs to feel when listening to indie love songs.

Jon just gave us some of the most romantic lyrics in history: People tell me there will come a time, When your heart and mine will grow cold, No more staring at the evening sky, Low replaces high when you’re old, As long as you’re around I’ll follow you, You won’t ever be alone, As long as you’re around I’ll follow you, And I will be wherever you go

Looking for some indie love songs for him? This song is just perfect. Oh well in five years time we could be walking round a zoo, With the sun shining down over me and you, And there’ll be love in the bodies of the elephants too, And I’ll put my hands over your eyes, but you’ll peep through.
