Caitlin Worthington is one of the most talented photographers I’ve ever encountered and I have no doubt about it! Her children portraits are as simple, yet as inspired as the works of the greatest photography artists who ever lived. If you watch the world through the eyes of a child, as Caitlin does, you will notice the colors, the innocence and the life that also transpires from these images. These amazing photos are not only proving talent, but also mastering of the art of photography.
The photographer accentuates the eyes of her young models- for what we notice first when we look at a child if not his huge, pure, yet wise eyes, that seem to look at the world with infinite confidence and expectations? She also highlights the most important part of a child’s life –the play. The most symbolic game of all is without a doubt, chalk drawing. Another theme that may be noticed in Caitlin Worthington’s photography is the relationship between children and nature: it is only a child who can be amazed, fascinated by nature, and it is only in Caitlin’s photography that I could discover this wonderful connection.
