The iPhone 5s was launched in the fall of 2013 and already the internet is buzzing over the features of the new iPhone. There are polls going around of what the most wanted features on iPhone 6 are and people have already started speculating high and low. There are many things we love about the iPhone, its OS, the ridiculous amount of free iPhone games out there, its sleek design and the fact that Apple goes out of its way to keep everything a secret about the new models. We’re here to count down 10 of the most wanted features on iPhone 6. Hopefully, Apple will listen to the public and decide to include them all! A man can only dream!
10. Built-In Infrared
Having built-in infrared means that you can basically turn your phone into a remote. The Samsung Galaxy S4 has it and it’s been doing wonders for their sales, so much that Apple might want to take notice. There aren’t any rumors about this features being implemented, but that doesn’t mean anything.
9. OK Siri Now
Have you seen what the Motorola Moto X can do with Google?! You can, at any time, utter the words OK Google Now and it listens to you. It can be on the table and you in bed and you can do Google searches without pressing any buttons. While Siri is really amazing and can do great things, this nifty feature would look great on an iPhone.
8. Wireless Charging
Yes, wireless charging is a wonderful dream that’s coming true. At this time, if you want to charge your phone wirelessly you need to buy a charging case and mat for your phone, but Qi is a new technology that introduces chips into the device and all you need to do is to buy the charging mat. Nokia Lumia 920 has the Qi chip in it and it’s awesome.
7. Upgraded Wi-Fi (802.11ac)
One of the most wanted features on iPhone 6 is to have an upgraded Wi-Fi. Long gone are the days of 802.11a/b/g/n, now we want the 802.11ac. The technology is relatively new, and that’s why, we suspect, it’s not yet implemented in the new iPhones. It simply must be in the iPhone 6, Apple has always wanted to get the best and newest features for their phones, but they wanted to build it themselves.
6. More Storage
Who doesn’t want more storage? Right now the iPhone 5s has a maximum storage capacity of 64GB and most folks think that’s enough for a phone, but we really don’t believe that is a good enough reason to stop. Come on, Apple, give us the 128GB iPhone with a hefty price tag, we’re itching to buy it!
5. Customizable Home Screen/Widgets
This is the age-old battle between iOS and Android, but we have to give it to the little green robot, its home screen and widgets make it pretty awesome. iOS does have some customization options, but not enough to make people excited about them – iOS 7 offered a great new Control Panel, which people were thankful for, but we think it’s time Apple took this a step further.
4. Bigger Screen
Does the new iPhone really need a bigger screen? Some people weren’t too happy when the iPhone 5’s screen became 4 inches in diagonal – it seemed like a hack. People wanted the phone to go wider, not just taller. A larger screen is an option – and rumors believe that the iPhone 6 will be just as wide as the Moto X’s.
3. Faster Processor
Of course we want a faster processor on the new iPhone 6. We’re 100% sure Apple will deliver, because they’ve always had. Every new model had an improved processor, but we simply had to mention this. Imagine the games you’ll be able to play with an even faster processor – I don’t think you can, because they’re not out there, just yet.
2. Better Camera
Apple’s camera has become better with each iPhone model. Even though the 5S has a great and better camera, with a double LED flash, it’s still stuck at 8MP. We know that Apple doesn’t play the megapixel game like the other companies do, but maybe it was time they did. So many people buy their phones with that in mind.
1. Better Battery Life
It has always struck me that we’re operating with phones, gadgets that are incredibly powerful, and the companies that make them invest so much in upgrading the processor, camera and storage, yet it seems that no money goes into the improving of the battery life. They went to the moon with less than what we carry in our pockets, but the battery doesn’t even last for a full day. How insane is that?! Is it impossible to reinvent the battery? We think not! If somebody’s going to do that, then we think Apple’s the perfect company to do it.
