9. Put On Your Sunday Best
Make an effort to look good when you go out. Your clothes should tell people that you care about your appearance and that you like to take care of yourself. You should choose something you’re comfortable wearing, so that you won’t look like you’re having a stick shoved up your…
8. Go Out With a Crowd
Partying with friends is much better than partying alone. If you’re in the mood for going out, call your friends and see who’s up for some fun. Being with a large crowd will also do wonders for your love life – men and women are more attracted to someone if they see them in a group rather than alone; they trust them more.
7. Know How to Take No for an Answer
When you’re in the zone (a.k.a I’ve had some drinks and I’m feeling invincible), it’s quite easy to miss certain signals. Let’s say you’re a guy and you’re coming on to a woman. If she doesn’t want to hang out with you, she shouldn’t need to tell you no more than one time. If you’ve heard the word no from someone, that’s the end of it. Thank them for their time and move on.
6. Tell Your Roommate/ Partner Where You Are
If you go out to a club, let at least one person know where you are. If something were to happen to you, people need to know where you are and how to contact you. We know how fun it is to be unpredictable and free, but this is not a movie, it’s your life!
5. Don’t Talk About Work
If you want to have fun then you must not talk about work. For God’s sake, you’re out, having drinks, surrounded by people who want the same things you do, to have fun and unwind and you’re talking about your job. That’s not only sad, but also quite lame and is the perfect way to keep people at a distance. I know for sure that I wouldn’t want to hang out with someone who can’t stop talking about their work, no matter how exciting it is!
4. Don’t Mix Your Alcohol
Wondering how to have a perfect night out? Don’t mix your alcohol. You’ll not only get drunk beyond recognition, but you’ll end up feeling like crap and maybe even throwing up. And that’s one way to ruin a perfect evening. Stick to one type of drink throughout the evening; consistency helps boozers.
3. Be Honest With Yourself
You know yourself better than anyone else does, so be honest with yourself. It’s 2AM, you want to continue partying, but can you do it? Aren’t you too tired to go on? Know your limitations and never lie to yourself.
2. Plan Ahead
Once you’re out, it’s almost impossible to know where you’re heading to after you hit a couple of bars, but at least try to plan ahead before you leave the house. Let’s say you want to have a Cosmopolitan, ask yourself who makes the best Cosmo in the city. We’re talking about that kind of planning!
1. Listen to Your Drunken Body
Whether you’re a pro-partyer or a novice when it comes to the pleasures offered by the night, your body will always let you know when it’s time to go home or when it’s time to stop drinking. There’s one thing it’s almost always wrong about: the intensity of your hunger when you leave the bar.
